What an incredible week it’s been at RCC!
The students are blossoming more and more each day, fostering independence and embracing a true passion for learning. At RCC, we’ve been diligently cultivating a collaborative and holistic approach to education, ensuring every child thrives.
In English, students have been diving deep into phonetic principles, developing their phonemic awareness, and delving into letter formation. Through immersive literacy play experiences, children are not just learning letters but integrating them into their world through multi-sensory exploration.
In Mathematics, the focus has been on laying a solid foundation in counting principles, a cornerstone for future mathematical mastery. It’s truly inspiring to witness young learners counting with confidence and delving into the world of numerals.
In our Religion classes, we’ve been developing an understanding of the love and teachings of God, helping children reflect on how these principles shape their lives daily. Each morning, we gather for prayer, expressing gratitude and seeking blessings.
Health education is empowering children to make positive choices and embrace responsibility within our school community and beyond, in line with RCC’s golden rules of good thoughts, good words, and good choices.
In Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), we’re celebrating the rich diversity within our RCC family, encouraging each child to explore their unique identity and appreciate the uniqueness of others.
Science lessons have been a source of wonder as students explore the characteristics of living versus non-living beings, sparking curiosity and fostering critical thinking in our MUDLA (Multi-Disciplinary Learning Area).
Our technology curriculum emphasises safety while exploring the features of iPads. It’s been exciting to see our students take the lead in inquiry-based sessions, such as learning how to capture photos responsibly.
Library sessions offer a treasure trove of learning opportunities, where children immerse themselves in literature, exploring concepts of print and text features.
And finally, through the arts, our students express themselves creatively, whether it’s through painting, drawing, dance, or drama, fostering a vibrant and expressive learning environment.
I can’t wait to see what the coming week holds for us in RCC! Congratulations to all children for their hard work and dedication. Here’s to another week of growth and discovery! 🌟
