Dear Families,

Today the children borrowed books from the Library. At the moment they will be borrowing 2 picture books which they can take home to read. The children are provided with black library bags to store the books. Please pack the library bags only on a Thursday so we can return and borrow new books each week.

Bucket Filling

We read the story ‘Have you filled a bucket today?’. We discussed how we can fill each others buckets through acts of kindness.

Buddy classes

On Thursday we met our Year 2 & Year 5/6 buddy classes. This semester we will be presenting a school assembly with our buddy classes. RFL’s assembly will be on Friday in Week 8 and RCZ’s assembly is on Friday in Week 9.

This week in maths we have been exploring patterns.

Dear families,

We had a very busy and exciting second week of school! In phonics the students learnt about the letter ‘S’. We also started our ‘Bookmaking’ program, the students learnt how they can be both an author and illustrator of their own books. In Science we are beginning a new topic on ‘living things’, the children enjoyed visiting the animals in the MUDLA.

Please make sure you label your child’s jumper, jacket, water bottle and lunch box so we can reduce the chances of items getting lost or mixed up with another student’s. If your child misplaces their belongings, we have a lost property basket in our classroom and at the front office. Sofia is currently looking for her labelled jumper, please check if your child has taken Sofia’s jumper by mistake.
