Hello REB Families, welcome to our week 5 blog.
This week in English we:
-focused on rhyme and syllabification in our InitiaLit sessions
-engaged with the text ‘Grandpa and Thomas’ in our story book lessons
-finished our current books in bookmaking and read them to each other
-continued deepening our fine-motor skills and letter formation in handwriting activities.
This week in Maths we focused on subitising where we:
-participated in partner and class games
-made number books, representing numbers and quantities.
This week in science we were very excited to see our beans had begun to grow. We shared our observations verbally and through drawings in our bean diaries and made predictions as to what will happen next. We also visited the MUDLA, focussing on the different needs of the living beings and reading ‘Gus’ Written by Mr McArthy.
In HASS we engaged in discussions around how things change over time and looked at a variety of pictures of things from the past vs the present.
In Health we demonstrated our understanding of what are safe vs unsafe actions.
