Welcome to Week 2 of Term 2!

English

We explored the letters O and R, practicing CVC words like tap, rip, mat, fit, am, and rat. Inspired by Mo Willems, the children added sounds to their own books during bookmaking. We also enjoyed Thunderstorm Dancing for storybook lessons.

Maths

We worked on teen numbers (11–19) and we used number mats to build number recognition and place value skills.

Science

The children conducted ramp experiments, sliding toys on different surfaces to explore friction and motion.

HASS

In HASS, we discussed “Our Special Place,” connecting to meaningful places in the children’s lives.

In Religion, we learned about the Story of Pentecost, focusing on its themes of courage and community.

In Health, we explored children’s rights, discussing respect and empathy.

In Arts, we learned about engineers and how they solve problems through design and building.
