Hello REB Families, welcome to our week 9 blog.

 

This week in English we:

-engaged with activities with a focus on the letter/sound ‘g’

-discussed what is a capital letter? and when do we use them?

-introduced the new tricky words ‘said’ and ‘you’.

-used the sounds and tricky words learnt so far to create sentences.

-played bingo bus in our literacy groups

 

This week in Maths we learnt about duration and how it measures time.

TRY AT HOME:

-reading/writing tricky words: they, that, said, are

-say a sentence with tricky words: they, that, said, are

-find/say some things that say start with the sound ‘g’

-ask your child to stretch out the sounds in the words: get    gap   fig   pig   (Challenge…write these words)
