In Arts, we explored Aboriginal dot painting.
In HASS,we explored a beautiful Dreamtime story about the Rainbow Serpent, a significant part of Aboriginal culture.
In Health, we focused on personal boundaries, teaching the children about respecting their own space and the space of others.
On Friday, we came together as a school community to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary with a special Mass.
TRY AT HOME:
– when you see the tricky words in a story, pause and ask your child to read it aloud. This makes reading fun and helps them recognise these words in context.
– Choose a favorite bedtime story and see how many tricky words (I, my, the, is, a) your child can spot.
– talk about words with middle sounds of /a/, /o/, and /i/.
– talk about words start with ‘c’ and words start or end with ‘d’
