Term 4, Week 4

It is hard to believe that we are in Week 4!

The children enjoyed the many hands-on learning experiences this week. In Technology, they were given a brief of designing a free-standing bridge that would hold at least 7 blocks. The children used their prior knowledge of making cylinders and thought about the spacing in between the cylinders and the height and length of the walk bridge. It was great to see great perseverance and attention to detail.

We took literacy outside with the children using chalk to write long and short ‘oo’ words.

In Numeracy, we explored capacity in the sandpit. We used mathematical language of full, half full and empty when experimenting with our containers.

Looking forward to more learning next week.
