Dear RLY and RUF families and children, welcome to our weekly blog!
We’ve had an engaging and exciting week in our classrooms! Our students have been actively participating in a variety of hands- on learning experiences, building their skills and confidence in different areas. From interactive group activities to independent exploration, it has been wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm shine!
This week, children demonstrated their progress through assessments, showcasing their understanding in creative and meaningful ways. We are so proud of their efforts and the way they are growing in their learning journey.
The highlights of our week:
In English, the children are actively engaged in the InitiaLit program, confidently participating in various movements and actions embedded in their learning activities. They have quickly embraced the rhythm of these routines, enhancing their understanding through interactive experiences. Additionally, they are becoming familiar with our bookmaking and are beginning to think creatively about their own book making , developing their early literacy skills in an exciting way.
In Maths, students were introduced to subitising and demonstrated their understanding by creating their own number books as part of their assessment. This hands-on activity allowed them to explore number patterns and develop their early numeracy skills in a fun and engaging way.
In HASS, students recognised that play experiences and toys have changed over time. They explored and identified differences between old and new toys.
In Health, we reviewed safe and unsafe situations to understand how to respond in a safe way.
In Religion, students developed an understanding that God wants us to care for others and build loving relationships.
Reminders:
- Kindly ensure that your child brings fruits, snacks, and lunch as we have three meal times each day.
- Hats need to be brought to school each day or students will not be able to play outside and will need to stay in the shade.
Have a wonderful weekend!
