Week 10 – Term 2

Wow  – Our last blog for Term 2.

What a fantastic term of learning. We are very proud of all the children – their persistence, kindness and growth.

Reading achievements

The children have made incredible progress with their independent reading this term. Remember to keep reading over the holidays and also enjoy watching some YouTube alphabet or sight word videos 🙂

On Monday we had a special lunch around the tables to enable conversations with our peers.

After we shared the story we created our own rock friends –

Rock friends- a simple gesture to spread joy and happiness to others. The children were able to keep their rock friend or give it to someone.

Numeracy

Number formation – we focused upon the correct formation (which will be continued next term) – you might like to practice in the holidays 🙂

Addition – This week we started to exploring the concept of addition, the symbols, equation and the process.

We created addition sums by:

  • Rolling 2 dice and adding the numbers together
  • Adding the two numbers on a domino tile.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. We look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces, ready for lots of fun learning in term 3.
