Term 4, Week 1: Monday 17th October

Welcome back everyone! We hope you all enjoyed your holidays. What a sunny start to the term. A reminder that hats are to be worn this term and labelling these items will hopefully ensure their return. We began the day with investigations. The students enjoyed reconnecting with their friends and talking about their holidays. Here we are exploring…

Thank you to Mya and Ekam for the wonderful photos.

After recess was Literacy where we spoke, sung and drew our new letter O. What amazing work today!

We were reminded today of red and green choices. Our focus today was being a BUCKET FILLER! A bucket filler is someone who says or does nice things for other people. By doing this, they are filling other people’s buckets and filling their own bucket at the same time. On the other hand, a bucket dipper says or does things to cause other people to feel bad. We read the story ‘Have you Filled a Bucket Today’ and sorted pictures of red and green choices that can happen at school.

We finished the day with mindfulness and library. It has been a busy day today.

The students noticed that they were not the only ones growing through the holiday. Our pea seeds got so much bigger and are ready to be brought home. You may like to plant them in your gardens at home.

Looking forward to more fun and learning tomorrow. Don’t forget those hats!
