T20 Blast Cricket Carnival

WOW!! What a day

Leanne, Nick and myself are so proud of all the students that attended the T20 cricket carnival today.

Our school had the largest number of participants and each student loved every minute of the day. To put it into perspective HFCS took 6 teams today (5 boys and 1 girls) compared to 1 or 2 from other schools.
They represented themselves and the school admirably and the results took care of themselves. We placed well across the board scoring numerous runs and taking lots of wickets.
A special mention has to be made to some outstanding performances.
The boys team of: Liam, Udesh, Finn, Khoi, Gowtham, Logan and Nathan finished equal top and only missed out by a total of 60 runs across the day.
The girls team of: Kristina, Kushi, Hannah, Patience, Sristi, Lily, Imogen, Shanthana, Ann-Maria and Deepthi finished top and took out the day earning them a trip to Adelaide Oval for the state final (back to back!!!)
MVP of the day – Eric
Not only for some fantastic cricket skills, but each team had a captain. Wow did Eric not only excel at this role but took on the role of team manager and ensured they were on time to games and everyone got a fair go batting and bowling.
We can’t keep the smile off our faces and neither can the students!!
