Over the past few weeks we have dedicated our learning in bookmaking to studying Australian author, Nick Bland. We have learnt about various crafting techniques Nick Bland uses in his books and how we can also apply these to our writing.

To celebrate our study and the amazing books created by the students we held our very own book gallery! This gave students the opportunity to read each others books and speak to the author directly; to ask them questions and give positive feedback about their writing and illustrating.

We loved being able to spot double page spreads, onomatopoeia, adjectives and speech bubbles, among many more, in each others books! See below some pictures of the students exploring each others work.
