This morning we gathered for assembly and shared the whole school’s creations of lanterns.
2MA and 2AH were lucky enough to win the Year 2 Double Best Lantern Award!
Congratulations Year 2! And well done on an amazing effort in creating your lanterns.

This term, we have been learning about Powerful Sentences. We revisited our learning of nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs; and learnt about co-ordinating conjunctions using ‘FANBOYS’ (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so). During our Writer’s Workshop, we had-a-go at including some more powerful adjectives, or adding adverbs and conjunctions to our sentences to help improve our writing. We had lots of fun playing around with making silly sentences during our mini-lessons too!
Have a look at some of our amazing work and sharing of learning below!
On Monday 5th September, our school welcomed Gary from World of Maths to share a range of learning experiences.
Our class got to work through 17 different interactive activities, exploring a range of mathematical and problem-solving skills, while working together in small groups. The students had so much fun learning maths in a different way that we might in the classroom.
