Basketball Carnival

On Wednesday, Holy Family entered a male and female team in the SAPSASA Basketball Carnival held at Port Adelaide Stadium.

Both teams performed really well improving throughout the day, and had a few winning games. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Thank you to Mr Winters and Mr Bartold for organising and coaching the team.

Cross Country

Congratulations to the 83 students who participated in the Catholic Schools Cross Country carnival. All students completed the challenging 2 km course. WELL DONE RUNNERS! Many thanks to Mr. Coad, Mrs Adams, Mr. Murray for supervising the students. Also Mrs. Musolino for being an official for the day, and Mrs. Attanasia for being a parent helper.

It was wonderful to have so many students eager to be involved and represent our school.

Boys Football/Girls Netball

On Friday, Holy Family Catholic School participated in the boys football and girls netball carnivals. We had some fantastic results. The boys football team ended up finishing in 3^rd place while the girls netball team placed 2^nd. Both teams were an excellent representation of Holy Family both on and off the field. Many thanks to Mr Pearce and Mr Do who helped organise and coach the football, and Mrs Read from the office who helped supervise and umpired on the day.

PLEASE NOTE THE CARNIVAL (AUGUST 4TH) HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO THE WEATHER.

THE CARNIVAL WILL NOW TAKE PLACE ON AUGUST 11TH.

Congratulations to the students who have made the team for the Cross Country Carnival. Students should have received a noticed. If you feel you should of received a noticed please chase up Mrs Cooymans or Miss Roberts.

Training for Cross Country will commence on Tuesday 1st August, Thursday 3rd August and Tuesday 8th August at 8:00am at Holy Family Catholic School.

We will meet outside the hall.

Please remember to wear your sports uniform.

The Carnival will be held on Thursday 10th August.

Information for the carnival will be sent home in the next few weeks.

CROSS COUNTRY TRIALS WILL BE HELD NEXT TERM (TUESDAY 25TH JULY ,WEEK 1).

IT IS FOR STUDENTS FROM YEAR S 3-7.

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN 2KMS.

INTERESTED STUDENTS SHOULD START PRACTICING DURING THE HOLIDAYS.

WELL DONE TO MARISSA AND ISABELLA FOR MAKING THE PARA DISTRICT SAPSASA NETBALL TEAM.

They competed in the State Championships last week! Both teams finishing runners up!
