Tball
Another amazing day out today representing Holy Family for the Tball carnival at Ridley reserve. We took 60 students from Years 3-5. We had two girls teams and 3 boys teams, all experiencing success in their own ways. Special thanks to Jasmin, India, Bianca and Allanah. These carnivals cant run without your support.
We decided to end the carnival a little earlier due to the heat but the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves for the time that they were there.
Tball is a game that everyone is able to be involved in some way and the students had plenty of opportunities to demonstrate what they were capable of. Some amazing hitting, some excellent catches and some very smart plays allowed our teams to experience success.
What was amazing to see was the team spirit and the extra encouragement of some students who have never been to a school sporting carnival before. Was amazing to witness.
Well done everyone involved.

Knockout Netball
BLOG POST – Written by Yshi and Osi
Friday (Week 4) , ten year 6 girls were set for Golden Grove for the SAPSASA Netball Knockouts.
It was many of the girl’s first try at competitive netball, so it was quite new to them. Most teams had a selection of year 7s, so we were given the disadvantage from the start.
We started strong with a win, and continued on to finish equal second in our division of 6 teams, with 5 wins and 2 losses. The team improved throughout the day, winning to a team we originally lost to, as we had to play some schools twice.
It was an enjoyable experience, and we definitely had lots of fun with our friends and represented the school well. We couldn’t have gone without our fantastic umpire, Mrs. Reed, and of course, Mrs. Cooymans.
Well done to all of the girls of came out for their fantastic effort.

AFL Football
Today students ventured to Ridley reserve for the Catholic schools outer northern football carnival.
Another fantastic carnival with outstanding efforts from our students. Once again they represented the school admirably and the performance followed. We took 43 students today ranging from years 4-6 both girls and boys. A packed schedule saw the teams play 5 or 6 games of modified footy.
This was a lot of students first taste of footy and it’s fair to say they loved it. After the first game, you could see the confidence grow and the skills continued to improve during the day. Many thanks to India, Nina and Dom who helped out on the day and also the other parents who came along to support.
Well done footballers!!

There were some fantastic team and individual performances but also the games were played in great spirit. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and there were numerous students playing netball for the first time.
Thanks to all the parents who attended the carnival your support is much appreciated and these carnivals wouldn’t happen without your support.
