Diya Lamps

Hey guys,

Yesterday nearly our whole class made Diya lamps, we used air dry clay and some modeling tools, it was pretty hard and easy at the same time but i managed it. Yesterday we type of focusing on India and we were focused on Diwali, Diwali is a festival in India. Most people in India celebrate it, we have to wear new clothes (optional) we get flower petal necklaces (optional). Most people celebrate Diwali in a temple, some people don’t if you don’t go to the temple that is completely fine because you can celebrate it at home. Also Lakshmi comes to our house to bless us and make us lucky in the future but only if you spring clean your house, make a rangoli lotus flower in front of your front door, open you doors and windows, and you have to wear new new clothes (optional). We made it by modeling the clay with our hands then putting it on a tissue and we had tow write our name then put it on the lockers outside

On the picture it shows my two Diya lamps
