The children are learning the letters f and b this week.
The students also had fun creating frogs to reinforce the letter f and build on their fine motor skills.
Maths
The children have been learning to sing a days of the week song and recognise some of the words. After reading one of our favourite’s. The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children ordered the days and matched what the caterpillar ate on each day.

Maths Mini
The children created number flowers, showing the number and matching the petals.
Religion
The children have been preparing for Holy Week and Easter. Today the children listened to how Jesus shared his last meal with his closest friends, the disciples. The children sequenced four main parts of the story into the correct order in preparation for our class to role play the story and present it to the whole school.

Health
This week we discussed trusted support networks, which is a group of people who they trust and can talk with if they have a problem. They are people who will listen to them, believe in them and will do something. It is also a group of people who they like to share good times with. Students thought about people who they could talk with when they get early warning signs.
Sport lesson with Mrs Cooymans
Each week the children participate in a specialist PE lesson with Mrs Cooymans. Today RMP were having a ball in the Hall. Here a just a few photos from the end of the lesson.
Science and plants
The children visited the Mudla and Fish Farm today, observing the animals and plant life we have at HFCS. Upon returning to the classroom, the children discussed what plants need to live and they added more pictures and words to their plant diagram that was started last week.
