English and phonics

The children have concluded learning about the single letter sounds and now move into blends, letters that combine to make a sound.  This week, we  focus on  ch and ai.

Word studies and sentence building

Health

Students listened to the story of the Rainbow Fish and discussed the themes of the story. Students then drew their own Rainbow fish and received their own shiny scale to add to their picture. Around their drawing, the students reflected and recorded qualities that make them a good friend.

Maths

Students continued to explore 3D shapes.  They matched real life objects with the 3D shape and the correct name.

Students also had the opportunity to build structures with 3D shapes.

Technology

The students origami skills have continued to developed and today they really enjoyed creating an origami dog head.

Religion

Pentecost is celebrated on the 5th of June this year. The story of Pentecost is when the Holy Spirit came to Jesus’ Apostles. This helped them to spread the Good News about God and Jesus to the world. The students drew a representation of what happened at Pentecost.
