Welcome to Week 3! The first two weeks we have been establishing rules and routines to help support the children’s independence and confidence. This seems to be shining through already as we can see many students organising themselves in the morning, making green choices and showcasing their whole body listening.
Knowing the importance of food as FUEL for the brain… our fruit snack in the morning has been very important for learning. It is fantastic to see the array of healthy fruit and veg being brought in daily. This gives the children’s bodies and brains the fuel it needs for all the learning taking place. Look at these healthy choices
The students have been showcasing their creative and artistic skills during play based investigations! We definitely have many painters, drawers and builders amongst us and each day the students have been displaying new skills and talents. It is such a pleasure getting to know all the children.
Following investigations we had some brave students speak in front of the class about which activities they enjoyed during investigations. Today we had Judi, Dominic, Charlie, Eshrup, Audrey and Bella share with us. What creativity AND bravery shown today!
Our letter of the day today was ’t’. We have now learnt three sounds, I hope the children share them with you all. We are exploring the letters and sound through music, tracing, air writing, sensory play, letter hunts, silly sentences, handwriting and brainstorming words that begin with the sound.
We hope the children share some of their wonderful learning with you at the end of the day. Using this blog as a springboard to conversation about their day at school can be a great tool!
Thanks for another happy day in RSA and RKS,
Mrs Sharman
