Hello everyone and welcome to another amazing day in RSA and RKS. We began the day with writer’s workshop where we continued to be brave spellers and trying to add adjectives to describe an animal. Students have improved significantly in their writing where students have started to make their stories connect on each page (We had a malfunction with the iPad and there are no photos of them working on their stories).

After recess, students investigated the days of the weeks. We looked at what day is our favourite day and the order they come in. Students then got to work with their table to organise the days in the correct order in their books.

After lunch, students came in for some peaceful drawing and reading in mindfulness. Once the students relaxed their brains and bodies, they had the opportunity to do investigative play inside or outside the classroom.

 It was amazing and exciting to see everyone’s happy faces again (I think they were excited to see me as well). I was so thrilled to see all their progress.

Welcome back everyone to another eventful day in RSA and RKS. We began the day with some quiet reading before we had a surprise assembly from 1NP and 4DF. After assembly, the students went into play-based investigations where they enjoyed playing together.

After Recess we learnt our final letter of the term;

After lunch, we had our final house chants practice for our Sports Day tomorrow. I can’t wait to see all the students in their house colours.

Hello everyone and welcome to another interesting day in RSA and RKS. We started the day off with writer’s workshop where the students have continued their amazing work and started to create a front cover with a title, picture and by line.

After recess, we had health where the students’ investigated catalogues from Coles and placed the food into unhealthy and healthy categories.

After lunch, the students went into their house colours to practice some team chants. Once the students finished getting into their team spirit, we had mindfulness. The students relaxed their minds through drawing, reading and relaxing.

Hello everyone and welcome to another interesting day in RSA and RKS. We started the day off with writer’s workshop where the students have started to be brave spellers.

After recess, we had numeracy rotations where the students continued investigating 10 frames and dice counting.

They also started to measure objects in the classroom with the unifix cubes. They even started measuring each other.

After a wet Lunch, we had mindfulness where the students relaxed their minds through drawing, reading or meditating. Once we were all relaxed, we started our play-investigations focusing on using our imagination to visualise objects as something else.

Hello everyone and welcome to a busy Friday in RSA and RKS.

As always we had assembly in the morning where the students watched class 2AH and 5/6LF perform. Once the assembly finished the students came back inside to do some play-based investigations where Jayden was given the task of camera man.

After recess we started to learn about places and why our home is special to us. It was awesome to see all the students drawing what was so special to them in their house.

After lunch the students got to interact with their big buddies. Some of the students decided to show and read their books they have been making in writer’s workshop with them.

Hi all and welcome to another Thursday in RKS and RSA.

We started off the day with come read with me. It is amazing to see how many students have progressed in their reading ability.

after come read with me the students socialised and creating amazing art work in play-based investigations.

Then as a class we decided because it was such a nice day outside we would have our recess outside.

After recess the students had literacy where they learnt the letter ‘m’. They discovered the letter ‘m’ through handwriting, drawing pictures that start with ‘m’ and creating ‘m’ in a unique way.

After lunch the students had the option to either investigate bugs in log park or do play-based investigations inside. Have a look at a couple of the students looking for bugs.

At the end of the day there was an award ceremony for the students who showed they glowed in the class today through working hard in class.
Today’s rewards went to Judi and Ellie

Hello everyone and welcome to a beautiful spring day in RKS and RSA. It has been awesome to see everyone and see the amazing improvements each student has achieved while I was away.

We started off the day a little differently with writer’s workshop. Where students continue using skills they have developed in their literacy lessons to create books that start to tell a story. Take a look at a couple of them below.

After writer’s workshop both classes went to the MUDLA to investigate living things environment where they had to draw the enclosure of their favourite animal.

After recess students continued to investigate 10 frames and all the different ways you can add up to 10 using two numbers.

It was great to see everyones faces again and I hope everyone has an amazing afternoon.

Hello everyone and welcome to another fantastic Thursday in RSA and RKS. We started the day off as always with ‘Come Read with Me’ and the went into our class meeting where we talked about what we are doing today.

Once we got ourselves organised, we began our play investigations where we continue to learn how to share with our friends.

After Recess, we split off into our classes where one class went to P.E. while the other class started Literacy Rotations. In Literacy Rotations we recapped on the letters that we learnt in the past few weeks with fun activities.

After lunch, we started mindfulness where we did relaxation and mindfulness drawing.

Then we finished off the day with play investigations and a discussion on what we might wear for book week parade tomorrow.

Hello everyone and welcome to another interesting day in RSA and RKS. We started the day off a little differently today with students creating their unique stories in writer’s workshop.

Student then went into the MUDLA to investigate living and non-living things.

After recess, we got introduced to Moon cakes and the Moon Lantern Festival. We started planning our assembly item about the Moon lantern Festival which we will showcase in week 7.

Student then started to create their own Moon cakes in art and glue them onto their own plates.

After Lunch, we had mindfulness drawing. Once we were all relaxed, we started our numeracy rotations where the students are starting to investigate number values up to 20.
