Today is Harmony Day. On Harmony Day we celebrate the diversity of our country.
We began the day by reading the book “I’m Australian Too” by Mem Fox. The story celebrates the multicultural heritage of Australia.
We spoke about how because we all live in Australia we are all Australian but how many families in our class have diverse cultural backgrounds.

What are some ways that we are the same?
Nahom: We all cry the same
Porsha: People have the same blood, it means everyone has blood in their body
Zac: Our hearts are the same, we all love and care and hurt the same
Declan: Our mouth is the same, it means we cry the same and get mad the same and happy and we all breathe
Massa: We have the same eyes, we look and see things with our eyes
