This week in our History lessons, we have been discussing what life was like at home and at school for people from the past. As a group, we created a list of questions that children might like to ask their parents/grandparents or family members, friends or neighbours of that generation.
The children were asked to choose 3 of the following questions and provide their person’s answers on a piece of paper. We will discuss the answers in our History lessons next week.
Questions for our parents/grandparents about life when they were young:
- What did you do for fun when you were young?
- How did you get to school?
- Where did you go to school?
- What did your house look like?
- How old were you when the television came out?
- What did you learn about when you were young?
- What kind of toys did you have?
- What did your bedroom look like?
- Tell me about your teacher.
- What year were you born and where?
- What did your school look like?
- How old were you when you started and finished school?
- Who were your friends when you were young?
