Whats happening in OSHC

The children at OSHC have been actively exploring board games during both morning and afternoon sessions. “Snakes and Ladders” was particularly challenging as it involved navigating up the ladders and sliding down the snakes, but it also provided plenty of opportunities for high-fives and encouragement among children as they cheered for those who avoided the snakes and won the game. “Plunk” proved to be a bit more difficult, requiring precise alignment of sticks to prevent balls from escaping down a tunnel. With some encouragement and persistence, however, the children managed to master Plunk as well.

In addition to games, the OSHC children have been delving into healthy eating by creating their recipes through a collage activity. Using a variety of food magazines, the children were asked to devise their recipes by selecting pictures from the magazines. Their ideas and research demonstrated creativity and a good understanding of different food groups. It was wonderful to see their creativity, imagination, and collaboration shine through in this activity.

Slime has been another great experience that the children thoroughly enjoy, particularly the tactile sensation and the process of making different objects with the slime. The children have been actively involved in making the slime together, taking turns leading the activity, following each other’s instructions, and working cooperatively to create the stretchiest slime ever.

Please note, that booking must be requested 48 hours before the session as we need to ensure we can adequately cater for your child due to educator availability and ratio requirements. We are only able to accept bookings if we have cancellations.
