Health- After reading the story, ‘Mutt Dog’, we spoke about what responsibility means. We connected this with being responsible members of the school. Here are some discussion comments made by the students:

The students drew themselves being a responsible school member:
Word Study- This week’s sounds were ar and ee. After writing their sentences, the students had a go at making up their own sentence.
Book Making- We have been continuing our study on the author/illustrator Pamela Allen. We have shared many of her stories together and the students are trying to use aspects of how she makes her books in their books.
Science- This week, we continued our learning about materials and their properties. We listened to the story of the 3 Little Pigs. The students had to draw the three houses made from straw, sticks and bricks. They then had to write a property of each of the materials.
Technologies- The students had a discussion about the different uniforms that workers wear. Their task was to draw a worker with their uniform on, and they had to try and label the different clothing items they wear and the equipment that they use.

Today was Catholic Identity Day. We got together with our buddy classes to make pledges about looking after God’s world.
