Happy THURSDAY, everyone!

Mathematics Warm Up
We challenged each other in pairs using the calculator on our laptops. We had two minutes to challenge each other to type in a single digit number and our partner had to type in the number bond to make ten. Then after two minutes we challenged making 20, then 50 and finally 100.

MATHEMATICS
Today we were ordering and comparing 4 digit numbers, representing them with words, digits and place value blocks, and using expanded notation.

 

SCIENCE
A change of plan to the published timetable … science took the place of today’s History|Geography lesson. We continued our animal inquiries.

Mason’s making

Today, Mason made a jet aeroplane. He was ably assisted by Kimzar, an expert aeroplane maker from Year 4.

Probably our favourite lesson of the week … Play, Make, Do. Jigsaw of Australia, mobile phone making, lego bey blade making, Minecraft Adventures, play dough and outdoor animal play were all on today’s agenda.
