Welcome to Monday everyone and the beginning of Autumn.

Shared Reading: Aliens Love Underpants

Alien activity in the classroom!  The children created their own aliens this morning, firstly by using a whiteboard to experiment with their ideas and then they used paper to draw their final creation.

Numeracy

Today the children worked in groups and engaged with a variety of patterning activities.  It was wonderful to see the children willing to challenge themselves and take risks.

Mindfulness and Religion

Our afternoon began by viewing Jesus’ Temptation in the Desert. Then the children used an image of this story to colour as they listened to relaxing music.  Next, the students talked about the promise they made to be kind to one another during the 40 days of Lent. Today’s Random Act of Kindness is to say ‘thank you’ to someone at school or at home.

Thanks to all the children who filled someone’s bucket today.
