Wednesday (Term 1 | Week 6)

Good morning everyone and welcome to Wednesday.  We hope your day is full of kindness.

Here is our random act of kindness focus for today:

LIBRARY

Today Mrs Papillo and Mrs Handforth read a wonderful story about a rooster who wore skinny jeans.

Rooster is so excited when his new skinny jeans arrive: the sparkling stitching, a striking gold hue, and the indigo denim, a dazzling blue! But what will the other animals think of his stunning new style?

LITERACY

Some children were asked to use their patterning skills, which they have been practising in numeracy, to decorate five different pairs of underpants in response to this week’s shared text, Aliens Love Underpants.

Other children were using lego to design and make their own aliens and spaceships.

 PLAY INVESTIGATIONS

Some busy students were making necklaces and bracelets by threading colourful wooden beads … fine motor skills are being developed.

NUMERACY

This afternoon the children warmed up their patterning skills by continuing colour patterns in their books.  Then, some children made their own patterns.
